Mondays, 18 and 25 June Creative Writing Workshops at The Brickyard Public House, Carlton, Nottingham. I will be working with Lincoln Brewery, who own these public houses, on a project to create a ‘Pint-sized Parables’ book incorporating short stories, poems and jokes by patrons. I will be supporting writers to develop their tales, editing the manuscript and preparing for publication.

June 18th/19th:  Arnold (Nottingham) Carnival).  We are launching the 2016 Creative Writing Competition at 2.00pm that day.

July 9th/10th:  Books in the Castle, Newark (Notts)

July 14th-16th: Gedling Borough Arts Festival (which incidentally I’m organising).

July 23rd:  Jubilee Park Gala, Burton Road, Mapperley (Notts)

August 6th-7th:  The World of Wizardry – the Harry Potter Convention being held at Nottingham Conference Centre,Burton St, Nottingham NG1 4BU.  I’ll be presenting an hour long Creative Writing workshop on both days, signing books and answering any questions about writing visitors may have.

September 3rd:  Book signing at W H Smith, Victoria Centre, Nottingham.  I’ll be there from 1.00-4.00pm so why not come along to see me.

September 4th:   Gedling Show, Richard Herrod Leisure Centre, Carlton, Notts.  Open from 11.00am to 5.00pm.  Come along as see us at the New Writers UK stand.

October 1st:  New Writers UK 12th Annual Book Festival at County Hall, West Bridgford, NG2 7QP.  We will be presenting creative writing workshops…more details to follow very soon, talks and the highlight of the NWUK year, the awards to the finalists of our Creative Writing Competition for the Children and Young People of Nottinghamshire.

October 13th and 14th: The Sherborne Literary Festival.  This event is taking place in Sherborne, Dorset where I spent much of my childhood.  I loved the area and the people and it broke my heart as a 13-year old to have to move back to London.  It was my great affection for this area that I am sure led to the creation of The Winterne Series.  I will be presenting creative writing workshops at the Prep School, and at Sherborne Primary School which I attended from 8 to 11 years old and I’m thrilled to bits about it.



May 23rd: ‘Silver Linings’ is one of 12 NWUK members books at Bingham (Nottinghamshire) Library in the Big Bingham Book Read where the books can be borrowed and voted for. The winner will be announced in August.
