Although ‘From Knight to Knave’ is a standalone book, it is based on actual historical events over five centuries, detailing incidents in the life of the founder of the Maitland dynasty at Winterne Manor. The story leads on towards the time where ‘Silver Linings’ begins and gives answers to questions relating to the four volumes of ‘The Winterne Series’. From ‘Knight to Knave’ can be read before or after reading the other books in the series, without spoiling the plot. I began planning this book a few years ago and have carried certain scenes and characters in my head for a long time. I am delighted you can now share true historical facts combined with my imagination. This is going to be quite a ‘big read’ – it’s over 140,000 words.
